S. Carolina Week: Thursday Practice Report

ATHENS - Georgia finalized its game plan on Thursday for opening up SEC play with a clash against South Carolina.

Following normal Thursday practice procedure for an away contest, the Bulldogs practiced at Sanford Stadium with crowd noise and their upcoming opponent's fight songs being piped through the sound system. The session lasted 90 minutes in helmets and shorts.

"Thursday is the last chance to prepare physically," Georgia head coach Mark Richt said when meeting with the media prior to the practice. "We are going to go to the stadium like we said. We're going to crank it as loud as we can get it to try and get a taste of snapping the ball without a cadence and communicate with being able to hear or at least having to scream at each other. Historically, we've had good practices on days like today, especially offensively because you have to concentrate."

Richt also mentioned that senior Kenneth Harris (ankle) and junior Roderick Battle (neck) were questionable for Saturday's contest.

Georgia (2-0) will play in its first SEC contest and its first road game this season against South Carolina (1-1, 0-1 SEC) on Saturday.
