Troy Week: Wednesday Practice Report

ATHENS - While there is still much being talked about of Georgia's most recent win over Florida, the Bulldogs have moved on to getting ready for their upcoming game with Troy Saturday.

"There's still a little surge of energy but what goes up, comes down," said Georgia coach Mark Richt. "People are talking about the attitude and emotion we played with, and that's important, but it's also important to protect the football, have proper fundamentals and execute a game plan. Some of that got lost in the discussion of the game. We were six-for-six in scoring touchdowns in the red zone, the defense had six sacks. We played fast, we played smart. It was some good execution."

The No. 10-ranked Georgia Bulldogs held a two--hour practice Wednesday as they focus on facing the Trojans of Troy University.

"It's difficult to simulate Troy and their offense," said Richt. "They go at a fast pace, no-huddle. We were giving the defense cards, changing personnel, we did the best we could. No one got banged up today so that was good."
