Georgia Lineman Visits Death Valley
OL Omoregie Uzzi Profile 6-foot-3, 290 pound lineman Omoregie Uzzi visited Clemson in last weekend to watch the Tigers battle the Hokies. "I came up for the Virginia Tech game," he said. "I liked it. I really liked the atmosphere at the game and the campus." Clemson assistant coach Chris Rumph met with Uzzi during his visit to Death Valley. "Yeah coach Rumph is recruiting me for Clemson. He told me how much they wanted me at Clemson. They are looking at me for defensive tackle or offensive guard," he said. "I talked with him a lot and also with coach Bowden. He told me I would be a good fit at Clemson." Many of the top programs in the southeast have offered the Georgia standout, including Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Virginia and Clemson. When asked about his current leaders, Uzzi responded, "I don't really have any. I don't have a top five or anything yet. I am not sure yet who will get official visits. I am not sure when I will be ready to make a decision." What will be important to the powerful lineman when he makes a decision? "I just want to find a place that I feel comfortable. I will look at how the team is playing. Early playing time would be nice, but it is not the most important thing," replied Uzzi. Omoregie has Chamblee off to a fast start this season. "We are doing great. We are 6-0," he added. Scout.com currently ranks Uzzi as the No. 27 overall guard prospect in the country. He is also a three-star prospect.
