Richt explains closed practices

ATHENS – Georgia coach Mark Richt is willing to admit it, as the hairs on his temple begin to gray, the thoughts his head turn more to conspiracy theories.

The No. 22 Bulldogs are closing practice this week as they prepare to face No. 16 Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Saturday, and the lockdown may be permanent. "If it was up to me and I could get away with it, I would just as soon close it down (year round)," Richt said Monday. "I wasn't that way when I first got here.
