Knox gets into Georgia

STATESBORO – John Knox, a premiere high school safety and Georgia signee seemed headed for prep school.

That was until today. Now Knox will be at Georgia this fall and beyond.

"Jonathan Rory Knox from Statesboro, Georgia was just admitted for fall classes. He was born on August 6th, 1988," was the information given by the University's Registrar Office.

Statesboro High School cofirmed that Knox's full name was as listed by the University's Registrar Office. Knox just got it, according to the University's Registrar Office.

"This student's admission status has been recently added - on Friday," the office said. "The student has not register for any classes, but they probably have not had time to do so."

The former Statesboro star got in toGeorgia, but would have enrolled at Hargrave Military, according to Statesboro head coach Steve Pennington. Instead he got the grades and test score needed to qualify to get into Georgia.

Mark Richt era, every player signed in a recruiting class qualified for the fall semester of classes.

However, Knox must get past the NCAA's Clearinghouse, which tangeled up fellow 2007 signee Vance Cuff a few weeks back.
