2006 Pure Camp - Nick Jones

ATHENS – Senior offensive lineman Nick Jones has seen his fair share of craziness during his fall camps at Georgia. Dean Legge talks with him in a Dawg Post feature called Pure Camp, which describes the subtleties of being a Bulldog during the heat of August practices.

What's the most memorable moment you have had at camp?

Some of the fights we have had. My freshman camp was memorable because it was a different experience. Coming from high school to the SEC – it blew my mind. My first one-on-one drill I got put on my back, and that was a new experience for me.

Who is the most irritable player you've ever seen at camp?

Just because we are friends (smiling), I am going to go with Daniel Inman. I have got to tell him to shut up sometimes.

Who has the strangest eating habits on the team?

I am going to have to go with my roommate Ken Shackleford. That guy eats cereal at all times of the day.

What's your favorite Callaway moment?

This was not during fall camp, and I am not sure if I should be saying this, but Dennis Roland got mad and Callaway flicked him off, and that one got ugly.

What do y'all do during down time?

Sometimes we will bring the PS2 or X-Box games over to the break room and play games. Lots of time we will just watch TV.

Is there a sweatiest guy in camp?

(Laughing) I am not sure we've got a guy like that!
