Ties to Tide, but mind is open

GORDO, Ala. - Ben Davis is a Scout 100 junior in a small town in western Alabama. He has over a dozen scholarship offers, ties to the Crimson Tide, a top five, and you can get the latest here...

Florida is the school that offered Ben Davis a scholarship last week. That makes 16 for the Scout 100 junior out of Gordo, Ala.

Davis now puts the Gators into his top five with Alabama, Auburn (No offer), Florida State (No offer), and Georgia.

The 4-Star junior has ties to Alabama, the school his father, Wayne Davis played at. His mother also attended UA. That though, does not lock him into the Crimson Tide he said.

The versatile jumbo-athlete at 6-foot-4, 219 pounds, length, and quickness could project as an outside linebacker (Where he is ranked on Scout), rush end, tight end, or hybrid on the next level.

Davis took the time to sit down with Scout Wednesday to talk recruiting and he breaks down his ties to 'Bama, talks top five, his ability on the field, and more in this interview.
