Floyd Enrolled and on Campus at Georgia

ATHENS - One of the top prep school players in the country is enrolled at Georgia.

Former Dodge County linebacker Leonard Floyd is enrolled at Georgia.

"It's been a long wait, but I am up here today," he said.

Floyd was made to go to prep school a year ago because the NCAA would not allow one of his courses to be used in the organization's sliding scale of academic requirements. It appeared for a time that Floyd had made it into school last summer, but that's when the NCAA stepped in. So Floyd enrolled at Hargrave Military School in Virginia where he got the grade necessary for enrollment at Georgia.

"Floyd is immediate impact type of performer who combines physical ability with playmaking," notes Fox Sports Next recruiting analyst Scott Kennedy.

"Floyd is arguably the top post graduate prospect in the country this year, and he has the physical tools and on the field instincts to be an impact player for Georgia early in his career," Kennedy added in a article from October 2012.

Floyd will start his true freshman season this fall and says he can't wait to get started.

"I am very excited," Floyd said.
