Orlando NFTC Top 10 Performers

Defensive tackle Poona Ford leads the top 10 performers from the Orlando NFTC.

1. (DT) Poona Ford (Hilton Head, S.C.)
Ford had hands down the top performance on Saturday and likely over the entire weekend. It would have been interesting to see him matchup against the offensive line prospects in Miami. Ford's only played one year at defensive tackle and is just 6-foot-0 but he was unblockable. He's quick, strong, athletic and plays with great leverage.

2. (WR) Artavis Scott (Tarpon Springs, Fla./East Lake)
Tay Scott was just his normal playmaking and efficient self. He can beat you every way imaginable and has great hands.

3. (S) Kyle Gibson (Seffner, Fla./Armwood)
We knew Gibson was a good, solid prospect from Armwood but it appears he has really come into his own and taken his game to another level. In an event loaded with safeties he had by far the best day.

4. (DB) Derwin James (Auburndale, Fla.)
James is an elite athlete with great size and range at safety. He had at least one interception and he showed very good ball skills at this event. He is very explosive and he breaks great on the ball. He has the versatility to play anywhere in the secondary. This 2015 prospect has already committed to FSU.

5. (WR) George Campbell (Tarpon Springs, Fla./East Lake)
See teammate Tay Scott. Campbell is a standout for the 2015 class. Each time out he shines. Campbell is a long 6-foot-3 and really runs well. Will he stay at wide receiver?

6. (MLB) Kain Daub (Jacksonville, Fla./Sandalwood)
Daub is the nation's top middle linebacker for a reason – he has the total package. Plus he's explosive in the box and shows the ability to re-direct in space.

7. (OT) Martez Ivey (Apopka, Fla.)
This super sophomore already has an impressive offer list (Florida, Ohio State, South Carolina, etc.). It will be interesting to watch him develop his body and ability as a player over the next two seasons. He's a very long 6-foot-5 and has plenty of room to bulk up. Ivey has great footwork and good athleticism.

8. (Blake McClain (Jacksonville, Fla./Sandalwood)
McClain had a solid day. This defensive end pledge to Florida State has good size (6-4/250) and athleticism. He's thick, he's quick off the edge and shows good speed around the corner. Like most players his age he just needs to fine tune the little things.

9. (OT) Denzel Ward (Bradenton, Fla./IMG)
Ward moved to the Sunshine State from Chicago and showed that he will be a coveted offensive tackle prospects. This kid is huge with long arms and good feet and a frame that can still be bulked up.

10. (QB) Chase Litton (Tampa, Fla./Wharton)
It looks like Litton is poised to have a big spring and summer. You don't find too many 6-foot-6 quarterbacks with his attributes. Litton has a big arm and continues to show improvement.
