Georgia commitment Naim Mustafaa visited Oklahoma State over the weekend and he was impressed. How…
Mustafaa Heads Home After Visiting OSU
"It went pretty good," said Mustafaa of the Saturday/Sunday visit while speaking before boarding a flight heading back to Atlanta. "The facilities definitely stood out on the visit." The 6-4, 235-pound Mustafaa, who has really good speed for his size at 4.71 in the forty, was coming off a playoff win on Friday over St. John's. The Scout.com 4-star-rated prospects had five tackles and half a sack in the win and on the season has 45 tackles and six sacks. He is verbally committed to Georgia and has been for some time, but has experienced the recruiting process with visits to Tennessee in October and to Oklahoma State the last two days. Those are the only visits he has scheduled. "I'm still committed to Georgia, but I'm keeping my options open here for a little while," explained Mustafaa, who confirmed that he will be a mid-term enrollee and will be at his college destination for the spring. Mustafaa's father, Najee, played his college football at Georgia Tech before going on to the NFL to play for the Minnesota Vikings. Naim is evaluated very much as a chip off the old block. Here is the evaluation of Scout's Scott Kennedy: "At 6'4/235 Mustafaa is a little undersized to play his 3-4 defensive end position, but when he gets a chance to go 1v1 against an offensive lineman, his man is as good as beaten. He has a great first step and lighting fast hands to help control the encounter. He's a high effort player who gets a lot of pursuit tackles with his quickness. He has a good frame to add strength and weight to better hold up against the run." Naim kept the conversation short and promised to call back when he got home.
