| Biography: |
Joey Side hit .291 last year despite fading in the final two months. He's a fantastic defensive centerfielder who is aggressive in all facets of the game. Side represented the Silver Hawks as a Midwest League All-Star starter.
He spent nearly the first two months of 2008 in Extended Spring Training with a lower-body injury, but collected two hits in his Hi-A debut on May 23. Side went on to hit .299 in 23 games before landing on the DL once again.
