| Banks comes to Tennessee with a solidified track record... He was a starter for three years and compiled a 42-2 record while at Ben Davis... He also spear-headed two undefeated seasons and two Class 5A state titles... He completed 324 passes in 576 attempts for 5,074 yards and 63 touchdowns with only 18 interceptions... He rushed 402 times for 2,335 yards and 31 touchdowns, an average of 5.8 yards per carry... He averaged 13.85 yards per punt return, 24.56 yards per kickoff return and punted for a career average of 37.5 net yards, including one kick of 83 yards... Banks earned numerous postseason honors including one of seven quarterbacks on the Parade All-America team... Garnered first team All-America honors from Tom Lemming, Student Sports, SuperPrep, PrepStar, Max Emfinger and Borderwars.com... Named Indiana's Mr. Football and Defensive Player of the Year as a senior... Listed as the No. 8 quarterback and No. 18 overall prospect by Tom Lemming... Ranked as the No. 3 dual-threat quarterback and No. 30 overall prospect by Rivals.com... Student Sports lists him as the nation's Midwest Player of the Year... Rated as the No. 7 quarterback prospect nationally and the No. 2 prospect in the Midwest by SuperPrep... Member of the PrepStar Dream Team... Selected Marion County Player of the Year as a senior... Named All-County, All-Metro and All-Conference for three straight years...
