| A better-than-advertised athlete with the size and strength to play at the next level, Shackleford is a developmental prospect who could surprise if he hits on all cylinders. |
| Biography: |
Former reserve offensive lineman who became a starter at the
split-tackle position as a senior.
Pos:
King-sized blocker who works best in confined quarters. Stays
square, is strong at the point and controls opponents once engaged in
a block. Plays with a nasty attitude, always looks for someone to hit
and helps out teammates. Keeps his feet moving throughout the action
and blocks down on opponents.
Neg:
Haphazard in his movements and does not play with much balance. Not
light on his feet, lacks skills sliding out to protect the edge and is
slow to adjust. Needs to shed a few pounds. |
