"Today was a good day," said head coach Mark Richt. "We got to hit a little bit, we didn't go full to the ground but we had some contact. I know the players liked it, they would rather have that than no contact practice in shorts. Tomorrow we will be in full pads and they will get to tackle some."
Thursday also marked the first day of the Coaches Clinic.
"We had a bunch of coaches out here today," said Richt. "They got to get as close as they wanted and hopefully they learn as much as they can."
Georgia practices again Friday in full pads as the Bulldogs hold the fourth of 14 spring practice sessions leading up to G-Day on April 7.
