Five Star Linebacker Akeem Hebron of Our Lady Good Counsel in Wheaton, Maryland made a commitment to Georgia during the summer, and now he is a U.S. Army All-American.
Akeem Hebron is the #5 ranked linebacker in the entire country by Scout.com, and
he will be headed to San Antonio to represent the East Squad at the U.S. Army
All-American Bowl.
The classic East vs. West match-up will be played and televised live on NBC
January 7th at 1:00 p.m. (EST) and will feature the top 78 prep football
student-athletes in the country.
"A game-changing hitter creates an imposing presence over the middle. Hebron is all about speed and sells his body with that built-up acceleration to create big collisions that has a tendency to jar the ball
lose," said East Scout Bob Lichtenfels of Scout.com.
Hebron made his commitment to Georgia in July saying "It was perfect for me, the academics, its a nice campus, they have great facilities, it's in the SEC , and I have family in Atlanta."
Hebron joins fellow Georgia commitment Justin Anderson as players that have been
named to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl thus far.
