Georgia junior receiver A.J. Green will not play in today's season opener due to an on-going NCAA investigation.
The investigation was launched July 21, and since that time both Green and Georgia officials have been unavailable to comment.
When asked earlier this week if Green would play, coach Mark Richt didn't indicate if his star player would be on the field or not.
"You know I can't talk about that," he said. "I just can't talk. I don't know the answer to anything, other than I'm not supposed to talk about the situation."
The answer as to when the NCAA will conclude it's investigation is still unknown.
