Mark Richt Camp: Three Sleepers

Mark Richt Camp: Three Sleepers

ATHENS – Not everyone that comes to a summer camp is a well-known superstar. Here are three names to remember from last week's Mark Richt camp.

Kendall Fullington
Cornerback
Class of 2011
Cypress Bay (FL)

Fullington had the challenge of slowing down North Hall's C.J. Curry in the middle of the week, and did fine with that challenge. Fullington can run well and cover, too. But his film () shows that he's willing to come up and make tackles. It is one thing for a corner to run around during a camp – it is another for his film to show his willingness to come and be physical. His film also shows his ball skills – picking off balls for interceptions.

With Georgia's numbers it is hard to think Fullington would wind up in Athens. Still, it is not hard to imagine him contributing somewhere for someone next fall.

Octavious Porter
Outside Linbacker/Defensive End
Class of 2011
Johnson (Savannah)

Well developed physically, Porter caught my eye when running the 40-yard dash. There are kids who just look the part, and he is one of them. He, like every other athlete in Savannah, plays basketball. You can tell, too, because he's not quite as natural running the way football players run. But he's a raw kid that someone is going to take a chance on. There are certain things you can't coach, and size is one of them. Porter is going to develop, and the program that takes a chance with him may look very smart in the end.

Nile Daniel
Wide Receiver/Cornerback
Class of 2011
Griffin

Daniel had a great day playing receiver… not as much with his first try at cornerback. I've sort of been keeping track of Daniel since the MVP Camp at Georgia Tech earlier this year. He was one of the better receivers there, and he showed a lot of pizzazz at the soccer fields last week. Daniel will get a lot of looks in the fall because two of his teammates are highly thought of. If he plays as well as he has shown he can, then he won't be uncommitted for long.
