Georgia was recruiting me pretty hard early in the year, then I didn’t hear from them for about a month, and I think they are picking things back up again now,” he said.

Anderson, a tight end from McEachern, has ten offers, but not one from Georgia. He said that if the Dawgs offered him he’d be very interested in going to school in Athens.

“If I got an offer from Georgia, I would really consider going there. They are one of my favorite schools,” he said.

It is unclear if or when Georgia might offer Anderson, but he has been invited back to a one-day camp later in the year by tight ends coach John Lilly.

“Coach Lilly told me to stay in touch,” he said.

Anderson took in Georgia’s first football practice of the spring at Sanford Stadium, and he said he liked looking on.

“It was nice to get out there and watch the players practice and I enjoyed it. It was their first day in full pads and they practiced with a lot of energy. The season is still a ways away, but they were excited to be out there, they practiced hard, and it was nice to see that,” he said.

He went on to talk about Georgia’s tight ends.

“I like how they worked their tight ends, too. They do a lot with them – they split them out, they line them up in the backfield and they use them in the traditional way too. They look to get the most out of them and I like that. Orson Charles is a little smaller than I thought he would be, but he made some plays and caught the ball well.”

Football, however, is only one part of the college experience. The best part might be all of the food you get to eat. According to Anderson, Georgia scores very high on that.

“The best part of the visit was the food to be honest. I liked a lot of other things, but I was very hungry, and I ate so many different types of food. They had everything over there to eat, and it was all good.”
