Rainfall began a little more than halfway through the workout, alternating between a steady downfall and drizzle for the rest of the session.
"We probably weren't good enough to beat Kentucky today," head coach Mark Richt said afterward. "We've got to get better tomorrow. We've got to get better."
Richt announced that the Bulldogs' 23 seniors all will serve as captains this weekend. Those players will represent Georgia on the field, with classmates Joe Cox, Prince Miller, Jeff Owens and Kade Weston taking part in the coin toss.
Richt discussed Saturday's matchup and ceremonies to honor the seniors during the Bulldogs' traditional game week press conference earlier on Tuesday.
"This Kentucky team is hot," Richt said. "They are very talented and well-coached. Coach (Rich) Brooks has done a fantastic job with them. It¹s a big game for us, no doubt. It¹s our last game between the hedges for 2009. It¹s the senior day. It means a lot to me, it means a lot to the seniors and I think it means a lot to their underclassmen to play the best they could possibly play to let these seniors leave our field with a great memory.
"I also want to say to any of the fans, please get there on time to honor those guys," Richt continued. "There is nothing like hearing the crowd roar one more time when their name gets called. It makes for a great ceremony when the fans are ready to go. That will be right within just a few minutes after pregame warmup, so if y¹all could get there that would be awesome."
Kickoff for the contest is slated for 7:45 p.m. ET, with the game set to be televised nationally on ESPN2.
