2009 Media Days: Legge's Look at Vanderbilt

BIRMINGHAM – Here's a look at the day Vanderbilt Head Coach Bobby Johnson and the Commodores had at the SEC's annual Media Day event.

Last season: 7-6
Series Record: Georgia leads 49-18-2

Last Year: Georgia beat ranked Vandy at Homecoming – although the game was a struggle.

Most memorable Georgia win: 1983 – All-American Terry Hoage knocks away a Vanderbilt pass near the end of the game to save the win for the Dawgs.

Former Georgia RB Knowshon Moreno stiff arms a defender in 2008.

Most painful Georgia loss: 1994 – Ray Goff may have lost his job when Vandy ran up the score on the Dawgs in Athens – on Homecoming, no less.

Player to Watch: Mackenzi Adams will get his chance, unimpeded, to run the show at Vandy. He ended last season with only five touchdowns and throwing under 50% for the season. That is not where he hurt Georgia and other schools last season. His feet, after all, are what make him special. He was the Commodores' third-leading rusher with 136 yards a game. He's a problem. Good defensive ends should neutralize him – Justin Houston, that's your cue.

2009's Big Question: Is Vandy a player in the SEC East after Georgia and Florida?

Recruiting Implications: Virtually None. This game simply does not impact recruiting as it relates to a head-to-head competition between the two schools. Vanderbilt couldn't get a player Georgia wanted if they had to – at least they've never been able to.

Legge's must-win game: Mississippi State on September 19th
