ATHENS - Zac Swansey scored 12 points and helped Georgia to overcome a second-half deficit and defeat Presbyterian 55-47 in a non-conference basketball game here Friday night.

The Bulldogs (3-1) found themselves trailing the Blue Hose when Bryan Bostic scored with 12:33 left, giving PC a 36-34 lead. Georgia answered with a 13-0 run, covering just over three minutes, that essentially decided the game.

"I was really happy with the win tonight," Georgia coach Dennis Felton said. "We found ourselves in a war of a game and we fought hard for the win. In the second half, I think our guys just decided to put our foot down and get real tough. And in that same stretch, we did a great job of scoring."

Terrance Woodbury started Georgia's second-half run with a bucket at the 12:17 mark, regaining a 36-all tie. Jeremy Price followed a PC miss with a basket, and freshman Travis Leslie then dunked to give the Bulldogs a 40-36 margin. Swansey continued the streak with consecutive baskets, and Corey Butler ended it on a 3-pointer with 9:09 left.

Presbyterian (0-3) got back as close as five points at 49-44 with 7:20 remaining. A Swansey layup and another basket by Woodbury restored a comfortable margin for the Bulldogs.

Georgia returns to action Monday night when it plays host to Santa Clara in the Dick's Sporting Goods NIT Season Tip-Off consolation bracket. The Bulldogs and Broncos start at 8:00 p.m., after the Arizona-Mississippi Valley State contest that tips at 5:45 p.m.
