Moreno, a 5-11, 208-pound native of Belford, N.J., recorded a season-high 172 yards rushing and one touchdown on 23 carries during the Bulldogs 24-14 win over #22 Vanderbilt over the weekend. This was Moreno¹s 10th career game rushing for more than 100 yards.
Moreno, who averaged 7.5 yards per carry against Vanderbilt, also became the 13th player in school history to surpass 2,000 yards rushing in a career. He currently sits at the No. 10 spot with 2,096 yards. Moreno leads the SEC in scoring at 9.43 points per game.
The Bulldogs lead the league in both total offense (429.6 yards/game) and passing offense (260.1 yards/game). Through seven games, Georgia has been forced to start four different combinations on the line, including a lineup against the Commodores featuring two true freshmen, a redshirt freshman, a sophomore and a redshirt sophomore.
This was Moreno¹s second SEC Offensive Player of the Week award of the season after he garnered the honor following his performance against Central Michigan.
