Fontaine happy with trip to Athens
This week he decided to take a tour of the South – starting in Florida and traveling up the East coast visiting a slew of ACC and SEC schools. "I feel like I rushed myself a bit," Fontaine said. "I just want to take some other visits this summer and then reevaluate everything." He's doing that right now. He started with a visit to Florida, which he was lukewarm about. "Florida – it was alright. I liked Georgia better," he said. The Bulldogs offered Fontaine in late April. Fontaine said that he was drawn to Georgia after watching the Dawgs' Sugar Bowl victory over Hawaii. He is also well aware of Georgia's legacy of placing tight ends in the NFL. "Georgia has put some very good tight ends into the NFL like Ben Watson and Leonard Pope," he said. "I met with Coach Lilly and Coach Richt. Overall it was good. We toured all of the facilities. I liked it a lot, and it was beautiful there. The coaches were real down to Earth – they didn't pressure me. They were just good people. You could tell that they were not corny or anything like." Fontaine will visit North Carolina, NC State, Virginia and other schools over the new few days. ? "I'm going to visit schools on this trip around South," he said. "Hopefully when I am done I will think about it and see what's going on. Hopefully I am going to have my decision made by then. If I don't, I am not going to force the decision. We will see what happens. As long as my mother likes the place I am going to be fine with it."
