ATHENS – Georgia could be on the way to one of the top recruiting class of 2009. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
While the Bulldogs’ class is far from being over, Georgia has high-quality players everywhere you look. Georgia has ten commitments in its Class of 2009 – all of who are considered no less than a three-star prospect. Of Georgia’s ten commitment all but two of them are ranked in the top ten in the country for their position. Only Dallas Lee (#34 DT) and Shawn Williams (#45 S) are not ranked in the top ten at their spots. The Bulldogs also have two five-star rated prospects committed to them – Aaron Murray (#6 QB) and Abry Jones (#1 DT). Jones is considered the top overall player the Bulldogs have committed to them. While individual rankings for states have not yet been released, the Bulldogs also have arguably the top overall players in Florida (Murray), Tennessee (Long) and Georgia (Jones). Georgia has five players, Jones (#9), Murray (#31), Ealey (#79), Mettenberger (#83) and Long (#91), who are considered top 100 players by Scout.com.
