ATHENS - Toby Jackson speaks with Dawg Post about his preparations for Athens. | |||

Parker Morgan: What are you doing right now to get ready for the upcoming season? Toby Jackson: I’m just conditioning, training, lifting weights really hard right now. PM: Do you know who your roommates will be? TJ: I think my roommates are Bacarri Rambo, Nick Williams, and Brandon Boykins. PM: What are you looking to accomplish with regards to playing time next season? TJ: I wouldn’t say playing time is really important, but I think I’ve got a good chance of going in there and playing and being able to contribute to the team and filling in where Marcus Howard left off. I think I’ve got a good chance of doing that. PM: Have the Georgia coaches talked with you at all about moving inside? TJ: I’ve talked with coach Richt and coach Garner about it. As long as I keep my speed and keep a legit 4.6 or 4.7 forty I should be pretty good. PM: What are you currently up to with your height and weight? TJ: I’m about 6’4, 250. PM: Is that where the coaches want you to be? TJ: Right now they’re saying I’m in great shape. I’m bigger than some of the ends they’ve got already. I think I’m in pretty good shape. PM: What about Georgia’s defense made you want to play in Athens? TJ: I just love the way Georgia’s defense gets after the ball, the way the attack the ball. They play full speed every play. That’s the type of player I am. I’m going to give it all on every down, every play, every second. I think I’ll fit in well with that type of defense. |
