ATHENS – Georgia will host at least 15 of its top junior prospects today.

“We have some good ones coming in,” recruiting coordinator Rodney Garner.

It will be the Bulldogs’ second and final “junior day” of the recruiting season. The repeat customers, and there will be some, Garner said, will get to see a different side of the team.

The last session, held during basketball season, focused on showing recruits around the academic center and East Campus Village, where they will live if they play for Georgia. Today’s session will include more football talk and a tour of the team’s locker room and practice facility.

“The first few years we tried to cram it all in one day,” head coach Mark Richt said. “It was too much. You want to showcase some things that are exciting and important about your program. You hope you target the right kids, and you hope you make a good impression.”

Georgia did both of those things last year. The Bulldogs signed 60-65 percent of the players who attended their junior days, Garner said.
