Ben Jones gets Nasty
Overused, but often applicable, the word best describes the attitude that elevates players of similar athletic as their peers into dominating forces within the game of football.
Ben Jones is Nasty.
Jones dominated the Scout.com Elite Camp in May of 2007. At the time, he had an offer from Troy. He then went on to dominate the summer camps at Georgia and Alabama, earning and offer from the former and committing within days.
Dominating a linemen drill in shirts and shorts is one thing, but what does a player with such obvious bad intentions look like when the pads come on?
A good person to ask might be quarterback Brandon Smith of Williamson. Jones lined up at offensive guard and defensive tackle for his Bibb County team when they took on Williamson. At 6-3 and 300 pounds, we'd grown accustomed to his wall like blocking of other 300 pound linemen at camps.
But what would happen if Jones got his hands on a 180 pound quarterback?
See for yourself, and decide if "nasty" is a good description of the future Bulldog offensive lineman.
