"Rashaad wants to play more and he believes there may be a better opportunity for himself at another school," Felton said. "I am very proud of the strides that he's made in his 2 ½ years at Georgia, both as a student and an athlete. We have enjoyed having him and I wish him the very best."
Singleton established career highs with 16 points, 10 rebounds and seven blocks in Georgia's 2007-08 season opener against Jacksonville State.
"I've decided to part ways with the Georgia program for the purpose of transferring to another school," Singleton said. "It is my hope that I can stay at UGA through Spring Semester so I can complete my academic work for the school year. There are no hard feelings at all and I'd like to wish my teammates the best of luck this season and in the future."
