ATHENS - The Georgia football team concluded preparations in Athens for the Sugar Bowl, holding a 90-minute workout Friday. The team will now have a four-day break for the holidays and reconvene in New Orleans on Dec. 26.

Fourth-ranked Georgia (10-2) faces 10th-ranked Hawaii (12-0) in the Allstate Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1. Bulldog head coach Mark Richt said the final practice in Athens was productive, and the team was looking forward to the holidays and then the trip to New Orleans.

"The hay is in the barn from Athens," said Richt. "We had a very good week of practice here, and now everyone gets to take a little break. We wish everyone happy holidays and a safe trip to New Orleans. We'll resume practice with an evening workout on the 26th."

Georgia will conduct its bowl practices at the Louisiana Superdome, site of the Sguar Bowl. The Bulldogs will hold daily sessions through Monday, the 31st.

Kickoff for the Jan. 1 game between the Bulldogs and Warriors is slated for 8:30 p.m. ET. The Sugar Bowl will be televised by FOX and broadcast on XM radio channel 144.
