ATHENS - Junior quarterback Blake Barnes has decided to transfer, a school representative said Tuesday. Barnes, a native of Baldwyn, Miss., will remain with the Bulldogs through the Sugar Bowl.

Unless he plays in the Sugar Bowl, Barnes will finish his Georgia career 2-of-3 passing for 9 yards. Barnes was in the competition for the starting job heading into last season but lost out to eventual starter Matthew Stafford.
