"This was the kind of team effort that we have come to expect", said coach Dennis Felton of his Dogs. "We showed up, were very set oriented, and we executed great. There was not one time all night that I can recall where they scored or even got a look off of one of their set plays. I took pride in us disrupting their effort. They had to resort to the ball screen and we crashed hard.
Phoenix forward Ola Atoyebi led all players in scoring and rebounding with a 20 point and twelve rebound performance. Guard Chris Long added 19 points and and six rebounds. This win propels the Bulldogs to an undefeated 3-0 record, equalling Tennessee and Ole Miss for the second best record in the Southeastern Conference. The Bulldogs travel to Madison, Wisconsin on Saturday, November 24th, to take on the Badgers for a second consecutive year. Wisconsin defeated Georgia in Athens on New Years Eve last year, a 64-54 Badgers victory. The game starts at 6:30 EST and can be seen live on the Big Ten Network and heard all across the southeast on the Georgia Radio Network.
