ATHENS - Ninth-ranked Georgia continued preparations for their upcoming Southeastern Conference game with Kentucky, holding a two-hour workout Wednesday afternoon. Georgia will get a much earlier start Thursday.

Due to a couple of academic obligations, Georgia has opted to schedule Thursday's practice at 5:30 a.m.

"We have a couple of academic things several guys are involved in, a Swahili Cultural Day in the afternoon and an Academic Roundtable dinner so the best time to get everybody to practice is going to be 5:30 a.m.," said Georgia coach Mark Richt.

And while on the subject of getting an early start, Richt is urging Bulldog fans to arrive early to Saturday's game at Sanford Stadium as the team honors this year's seniors.

"We're going to honor the seniors at the 16 minute mark before the game, and it would look a lot better if everyone in the stands would be there too," said Richt. "They'll go through the gauntlet to the 50 yard line where they'll meet their parents, and it would be nice if everyone was there to honor them for everything they've done."
