ATHENS – Saturday’s game will be quite a reunion for freshman tailback Knowshon Moreno.

For starters, eight members of his high school coaching staff at Middletown South High School will be attending their first Georgia game, but, more interestingly, he’ll be meeting up with a former youth league teammate.

Troy running back Kenny Cattouse and Moreno played together as youngsters in New Jersey.

“Is that right?” head coach Mark Richt said.

The players’ careers diverged before high school. Cattouse went on to be New Jersey’s all-time leading rusher, while Moreno set the state scoring record.

“I was the quarterback,” Moreno said. “He was the running back.”

Cattouse rushed for 6,720 yards at Keyport High School, while Moreno rushed for 6,268 yards in his career (and 43 touchdowns as a senior) at Middletown South.
