ATHENS - The Bulldogs will be juggling players at several positions due to injury, most notably linebacker. Georgia expects to have five healthy scholarship linebackers ready to play thanks to Brandon Miller’s calf injury.

Dannell Ellerbe will be moved back to middle linebacker, and Akeem Dent will start at strongside linebacker. Sophomore Darius Dewberry and freshman Rennie Curran are competing for the starting weak side spot. Curran suffered a minor concussion against Tennessee but has been cleared for full contact.

“I feel fine, I’m ready to go,” Curran said.

Darryl Gamble is the only other scholarship linebacker available.

Wide receiver Mikey Henderson is doubtful due to a hamstring injury, which will hurt the punt return game more than the passing game. Henderson is second in the SEC in punt returns (13.5 yards per return). He’ll be replaced at that position by former starter Thomas Flowers, who averaged 14.4 yards per return in the last three years.

“From camp leading up to this point, I have been practicing like I was the guy and now it’s my turn, so I have to prove that I am the guy,” Flowers said. “I really want to catch them off guard, you know, lay in the weeds and then, ‘Bam,’ it’s too late.”

There is some good injury news. Offensive lineman Scott Haverkamp (ankle) is expected to be available for the first time since the Western Carolina game. He probably won’t start, but will help provide depth, Richt said.

Wide receiver Kris Durham (shoulder) will travel to Nashville and expects to play.
