ATHENS - A look at the day's events as Georgia gets ready for Vanderbilt.

NEWS OF THE DAY: Sophomore Matthew Stafford is 10-4 as the Bulldogs’ starting quarterback after Saturday’s, and Coach Mark Richt will watch him closely this week to make sure his confidence is not slipping, Richt said.

“I would have to think he’s fine right now, but I didn’t look him in the eye and try to judge that,” Richt said. “You just have to (forget about ti). I don’t know how many he lost in high school, but he had to deal with it last year.”
