ATHENS - A look at the day's events as Georgia gets ready for Ole Miss.

NEWS OF THE DAY: Sophomore offensive lineman Vince Vance is cramming to learn a new position this week but happy just the same at the prospect of more playing time. Vance, a transfer from Georgia Military College, played guard last week for the first time in his football career. After two days of practice at the position, he played “decent” in his first outing, offensive coordinator Mike Bobo said.
