W. Carolina Week: Thursday Practice Report

ATHENS – Inclement weather forced the Georgia football team to move its Thursday practice session to the Ramsey Student Center. The team practiced in shorts and helmets at the facility for 90-minutes making their final preparations for this weekend's contest with Western Carolina.

The Bulldogs (1-1) will take on the Catamounts (0-2) on Saturday at Sanford Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Georgia head coach Mark Richt met with the media prior to the practice and announced the decision to move indoors.

"We are going to load the buses and try to stay out of the lightening to get in our last day of preparation," Richt said.

At the Ramsey Center, the team split up the session between two gymnasiums as well as utilizing a couple racquetball courts.

When meeting with the media, Richt fielded questions about the linebackers and the status of a few injuries. He said that the starting linebackers will be determined closer to game time and indicated the senior safety Kelin Johnson and redshirt sophomore cornerback Bryan Evans remain questionable while redshirt freshman split end Tony Wilson is probable for the contest against Western Carolina.
