W. Carolina Week: Wednesday Practice Report

Posted Sep 12, 2007

ATHENS - The Georgia football team began continued preparations for the upcoming game with Western Carolina by working out for two hours on Wednesday at the Woodruff Practice Fields.

Georgia coach Mark Richt said the Bulldogs looked much better today compared to Tuesday's session.

"I saw some signs of life today, they started to respond and that was good" said Richt. "We'll go in shorts Thursday, it will be our normal dress rehearsal, the plan is in and we'll ready to go."

When asked about the status of a couple starters (safety Kelin Johnson and cornerback Bryan Evans) for Saturday, Richt said they remain questionable to play due to injuries. Richt added that the Bulldogs continue to develop depth at linebacker and praised the recent play of reserves Marcus Washington and Darryl Gamble.
