08/24/2007 Georgia Practice Report

Posted Aug 25, 2007

ATHENS Due to a severe thunderstorm that passed through Athens Friday afternoon, the Georgia football team had to cancel its practice.

Georgia coach Mark Richt, who called the cancellation ³frustrating,² said the Bulldogs will work out twice on Saturday. He said each of the practices, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, will last approximately two hours.

Richt said practices at this juncture of the preseason are critical. The Bulldogs will open the 2007 campaign in eight days.

³We¹ve got to get certain things done,² said Richt, who met briefly with the team before the storm wiped out practice. ³In camp, you¹re installing everything for the whole year. But now that we¹re this close, we¹re preparing everything around that first opponent. I want us to stay on track with our installation. I don¹t want us to get behind.²
