Georgia #13 in Coaches Poll
Posted Aug 3, 2007

ATHENS – Mark Richt and the Bulldogs will open up the season at #13 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

USA Today Coaches Poll

The Bulldogs joined SEC foes Arkansas (20), Tennessee (15), Auburn (14), Florida (3) and LSU (2) in the rankings. Georgia also plays Georgia Tech (RV – would be #27), South Carolina (RV – would be #30), Alabama (RV – would be #39), Oklahoma State (RV – would be #40) and Kentucky (RV – would be #48).

Curiously, 0-12 Duke was voted #25 in the country by at least one coach – likely South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier, who once coached at the Durham school.
