ATHENS - D.J. Stafford wanted to go to Georgia, but they did not want him.

"Georgia did not want me," Stafford said quietly.

This ends the Bulldogs' saga with the LaGrange native. Stafford said he will now sign with Kentucky, the team he has been committed to for some time.

The Wildcats will place him at Hargrave, according to LaGrange's head coach. Meanwhile, Georgia may or may not sign a player not committed to them. Stafford seemed the most likely candidate to do so.
