ATLANTA - Josh Kendall's news and notes from Georgia's Chick-fil-A Bowl practices at the Georgia Dome.

HEALTH REPORT: The Bulldogs should be at close to full strength with Tuesday’s return of offensive lineman Michael Turner from a throat infection. Turner missed the last six practices in Athens and lost 15 pounds, but he gained it all back during the break, he said.

“Christmas was good to me,” he said.

Despite Watts’ absence, Turner expects to remain at tackle this week, he said. Senior walk-on Chris Abbott will back up starters Fernando Velasco and Chester Adams at guard, he said.

Peach County wide receiver A.J. Bryant was in a green jersey Tuesday due to a groin injury but said he’ll play against the Hokies.

NO WORD YET: Juniors Paul Oliver and Danny Ware have not heard back from the NFL’s underclassman advisory committee, they said Tuesday.

Ware has rushed for 302 yards this year as the Bulldogs’ second- and third-team tailback.

“I still haven’t thought any more about it. I haven’t even really been focusing on that,” he said. “I’m just going out and staying focused on trying to have a good last game for the year and see what happens.”

OLD FRIENDS: Ware spent Monday evening visiting with Virginia Tech players Brandon Flowers, Justin Harper and Cory Holt, all of whom were his teammates in 2003 at Hargrave Military Academy.
