Johnson "would welcome" move to OL coach

ATHENS - David Johnson may be interested in a move to coaching the offensive line, according to a published report.

David Paschall of The Chattanooga Times Free Press reported earlier today that David Johnson would be intersted in moving to coach the offensive line.

"I would welcome the move," Johnson told the paper. "The first 12 years of my career I coached the offensive line, and it's something I've enjoyed — the challenges and camaraderie that come along with coaching that group. I feel that I'm very qualified. I know the system, and with Coach Bobo being the new offensive coordinator, I think we could build on what we've started. "I'm anxious and excited to see how it unfolds."
