Chick-fil-A Bowl: Dec. 16 Practice Report

Posted Dec 16, 2006

ATHENS - The Georgia Bulldogs continued preparations for the upcoming Chick-fil-A Bowl, holding a pair of practices Saturday.

Georgia head coach Mark Richt said the Bulldogs had two solid workouts Saturday.

"It has gone pretty good so far," said Richt. "The defense had more juice this afternoon, but overall it has been spirited. We're taking one long practice and splitting it into two short practices."

Also, Richt added that the team has a kicking segment only in the morning sessions and conditioning scheduled following the afternoon workouts. After taking Sunday off, the Bulldogs will hold three more two-a-day sessions starting Monday followed by a single practice Thursday before breaking for the holidays. The Bulldogs will reconvene in Atlanta on the evening of the 25th.
