“Right now, my plans are to be at Georgia and just continue on,” he said. “That situation might come up somewhere down the road. It would just have to be the right situation.”
Barnes battled for the Bulldogs’ starting job in the fall but ended up fourth on the depth chart and will be projected third if he returns next season.
“It’s been a tough year, just not having the opportunity to play is always tough, but I’ve definitely still learned a lot and improved and gotten better so it’s been good at the same time,” he said.
Barnes is a Mississippi native but his parents moved to Atlanta last year when his father took a job with the Federal Reserve. “With all of that, it would be a very tough decision to (leave),” he said. “I feel at home here.”
