ScoutTV - UGA 2008 RB Commitment

The recruiting cycle starts earlier and earlier every year, and Georgia has already picked up 3 commitments for the Class of 2008, before the Class of 2007 has even put pen to paper. Running Back Martin Ward is the latest Georgia Commitment, and ScoutTV went to see him in action earlier this year.

Martin Ward is a running back for Mt. Zion Jonesboro High School near Atlanta that does a little bit of everything for his Bulldog team. Ward is a pro-style running back in that he is adept at catching the ball out of the backfield and picking up pass rushers as a blocker.

He has very good open field moves, and he shows the whole package in the first play of this clip. Ward takes a swing pass and sets up a defender near the sideline. Ward fakes him out so completely that he not only makes the guy miss, he makes the guy fall down. A true ankle breaker.
