ATHENS The Georgia Bulldogs continued preparations for their Saturday match-up with rival and No. 16-ranked Georgia Tech with a two-hour practice on Tuesday.

This year marks the first time since 1990 that Ga. Tech enters the game ranked while the Bulldogs are not. That year, second-ranked Ga. Tech beat Georgia 40-23 in Athens.

Georgia¹s last outing was a win at No. 5 Auburn on Nov. 11. Last week, Ga. Tech beat Duke in Atlanta, 49-21.

³We¹ve got an exciting week coming up with an exciting game this weekend,² said head coach Mark Richt. ³I¹m excited. I think the state of Georgia is excited. It¹s going to be a big battle.²

Georgia has won five straight in the series over the Yellow Jackets.
