| Auburn Week: Thursday Practice Report | ||||
ATHENS - The Georgia Bulldogs practiced in Sanford Stadium on Thursday to conclude a week of preparations for their game at No. 5 Auburn. | ||||
Saturday¹s contest will be the 110th meeting between the two teams, with Auburn holding a 53-48-8 edge. Four of the last six games have been decided by seven point or less, including last year¹s 31-30 Auburn win in Athens. Before practice, Bulldogs head coach Mark Richt commented on the announcement that Georgia will open the 2007 season by hosting Oklahoma State. ³That will be a great challenge for us,² Richt said. ³They have an up-and-coming program of late, and they had a nice win over Nebraska recently. It will be something to work toward during the summer I think.² Richt also said he believes senior offensive lineman Michael Turner (ankle), who remained on crutches on Thursday, could return for the Georgia Tech game on Nov. 25. "We'll know a little bit more next week, but my guess is he'll be back," Richt said. |
