Catching On Premium Story
Kenneth Harris
Dawg Post
Posted Nov 9, 2006

Kenneth Harris has one career touchdown. It was his first catch of his career in his first game. Harris is still looking for the next one. The sophomore is currently 3rd on the team in receiving yards. Against Mississippi State, he had his first career 100-yard receiving game. In the 2 games since then he has 0 receptions. What is going through the receiver's head right now? I asked him.

Dave McMahon -- Despite the loss, the receivers did a better job catching the ball against Kentucky than in previous games, right?

Kenneth Harris -- We need to improve more. We need to catch for Stafford and make sure he is comfortable with us and the team. We need to grow together.

DM -- When you drop the ball, who is harder to face: the quarterback, the coach, the media or the fans?

KH -- The quarterback because he is the first person you see. It always hurts when you let the team down.

DM -- What goes through your head when you see what happened to Mario Raley?

KH -- It is scary. It is always scary when you see one of your family on the ground like that. The receiver group is tight. We are like brothers out there. Anything can happen.

DM -- You had a big game vs Mississippi State, how come we haven't seen more of that?

KH -- That is how the ball bounces. It will be my time again.

DM -- How has practice been this week?

KH -- Good. We have been working hard. We have to keep our intensity for these next 2 games.

DM -- Auburn is next, they have one of the best defenses, what makes them so good?

KH -- They are a physical group. They are fast. They will jam you and make a big play.

DM -- What do you remember about last year's game?

KH -- I remember making a drop in the endzone.

DM -- Does it help the team keep motivated when your last 2 games on the Georgia schedule are against rivals?

KH -- We are still motivated. We are playing for pride. We want the seniors to leave on a good note. The Georgia/Auburn game is one of the best rivalries in the south and the Georgia Tech game in for in-state pride. Both games are big.

DM -- Thank you for your time and answers.
