The receiver position has been very inconsistant this season. No one seems to taken over as the go-to guy. There are currently 5 wide receivers and tight ends that have anywhere from 11 to 17 receptions this season. One of those is A.J. Bryant. He has had the most starts by any receiver this season, but he has been slowed by injuries. As the Kentucky game nears I had a chance to talk to him.
Dave McMahon
-- Are you 100% right now?
A.J. Bryant
-- I am a little sore, but I am OK.
DM
-- Was it the groin that has been bothering you the last few weeks?
AJB
-- Yes
DM
-- Last year, you had your first career TD in a game against
Kentucky
... you have 0 this season, how hungry are you?
AJB
-- I know it's coming. I have to continue to work hard everyday. I know it's coming.
DM
-- Does it matter which quarterback is throwing you the ball?
AJB
-- It doesn't matter. I just have to give whomever is throwing my best.
DM
--
Matthew Stafford
has a tremendous arm... how far do you think he can throw?
AJB
-- Maybe 70-75 yards. He has a great arm.
DM
-- You were a high school quarterback, how far can you throw?
AJB
-- Around 65 yards
DM
-- Tell me about Kentucky's defense?
AJB
-- They have many zone coverages. They are in the SEC, you know they can play.
DM
-- Thank you for your time and answers.
